Hello,
This is Debapriya Mukhopadhyay. Born on 24th March, 1986. In Bankura District, West Bengal. I brought up in Howrah and Kolkata. My family consists mother Mrs. Mousumi Mukherjee, Father Dr. Harinath Mukherjee, Sister Miss. Shreyasi Mukherjee.
I love to create, modify and develop. I believe in live and let live, work and grow together. Finding hidden things are one of my passions.I like technology and like to incorporate them in practical life. I am very fond of cars and love driving. I like to be with children and community and want to do lot of work for them. I like hard work, dedication and passionate thinking.
I like to think differently, I believe in god, love and respect.
Finally, I am a very simple person, love to sing, paint, photography, study, make friends and accept new challenges.
By profession am an Optometrist. Practicing clinical Optometry from 2003. Started my practice by assisting my father Dr. Harinath Mukherjee, an ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon at West Bengal Health Service. I have assisted him in surgery, clinical management, outdoor patient department, minor operation theater. In 2004, I have joined Vidyasagar College of Optometry & Vision Science under West Bengal University of Technology. I count this year as one of the biggest milestone of my carrier. As time goes on started practicing in optical stores as an independent clinical eye care practitioner. In the mean time started attending various Surgical camps of NGOs in rural areas of different states of West Bengal. Pursuing with the time met with Mr. Abhisek Ghosh, Mr. Animesh Chaudhury, Mr. Shamik Mazumder and became very close friends. People give examples of our friendship, we have seen lots of ups and downs, but by the gods' grace every time we stay together. lot of stories came in between and ultimately we have graduated in 2008.
Another golden year started in between. 2007 to 2008, went to Chennai, for clinical internship at Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital and Shri. Prakash Eye Institute. Here I did an independent research on macular thickness. Form 2008 till date am associated with Vidyasagar College of Optometry and Vision Science, by teaching, research guiding, article writing and various activities.
In the month of september 2008, I have joined Master of Optometry at Bharti Vidyapeth Medical College School of Optometry, Pune. While in first year, drafted a booklet "Advance designs of progressive lenses over conventional". In final year, did a research under the guidence of Dr. Parikshit Gogate, on "Spectacle compliance on rural secondary school children in pune district, India." The Paper was presented national and international conferences, published in Indian Journal of Ophthalmology, sited and mentioned by Wikipedia/Optometry in reference number 33.
Am affiliated to Indian Optometry Association, West Bengal Association for Optometrists, Association of schools and colleges of Optometry, Indian Optometry Federation, Optometry Council of India, West Bengal University of Technology, Jadavpur University, Alagappa University, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Sciences.
In Dec. 2010, have founded Dr. Ashok Kumar Banerjee Charitable Foundation. As a Founder and Secretary I am one of the key responsible persons, of all actions, made by the organization.
Considering my activities, I love to sing and play Piano. Oil paint and sketch is my passion. Photography is my hobby. I love not to waste my time and sleep. Sanjeeb Chattopadhyay, Shibram Chattopadhyay are my favorite writers.
